A Boxmoor dance school have qualified for the Dance World Cup 2021 representing Team England in two categories and sections. A strong team of 28 dancers from SUPREME Dance, based in Boxmoor, will be competing across two categories, ages 9 – 12 street dance group and 12 – 19 street dance group.
SUPREME Dance are honoured to be selected to represent Team England, which is a great achievement and reflective of their hard work and dedication, especially through the past year. The Performing Arts industry has struggled and basically came to a halt since the global pandemic. For the young and devoted performers, or the next generation, this pause in their training career has been so difficult to come through and only down to their passion and strength they have come back stronger than ever! This will be their first time competing on behalf of Team England, and they cannot wait to perform with their friends as a team after such a long time away from the stage!
Principal, Nicole Romasz, lives and breathes her passion of performing arts through the achievements of her students. The call up to represent Team England in the Dance World Cup was the cherry on top of the cake, after the past year we have all had. Where many of SUPREME Dance pupils have still managed to secure incredibly impressive scholarships and places at the most prestigious performing arts colleges in the country. In her words, ‘I’m so proud of all these talented dancers, after many months of continuing to train online as difficult as it was, this is just what they deserved! Since being back in the studio they have been dancing so many hours and we will train above andbeyond to do Team England proud!’.
SUPREME Dance are reaching out to their local communities, friends, and family for any support to help them with funding their travel, costumes, and additional expenses that occur. They have set up a Go Fund Me page (https://gofund.me/3985d61b) for donations but are also available for specific sponsorship opportunities.
