Westbrook Hay Estate
In the light of mounting complaints from visitors to Westbrook Hay Estate, about the activities of commercial/professional dog walkers, the Box Moor Trust has taken the decision to exclude Commercial/Professional Dog Walkers from using any of its land at Westbrook Hay.
This will take effect from Thursday 1st June 2023.
As from 1st June, the Box Moor Trust, as the landowner, withdraws any express or implied permission to Commercial/Professional Dog Walkers using any part of its land known as Westbrook Hay Estate. This includes the car parks contained within the boundary of the Estate.
Above is a map showing the area covered by the ban outlined in red.
Continuing to use Westbrook Hay Estate for the purpose of commercial/professional dog walking, after 1st June 2023, may lead to legal action being taken.
It should also be noted that continuing to use Westbrook Hay Estate, after 1st June 2023, for commercial/professional dog walking purposes without permission of the Trust is likely to invalidate any public liability insurance you have, in connection with your business as a Commercial or Professional Dog Walker.
There are several suitable ‘safe sites’ for walking dogs within a short drive of Westbrook Hay. A search on the Internet will show where commercially available sites are located.
