An annual Community Fun Day with an emphasis on Local Foods and Crafts, with live music, licensed bar, lots of fun, games and entertainments. Organised by local people for local people.
The event is an opportunity to pick up fresh fruit and vegetables, admire and purchase artisan crafts and gifts, and to sample locally grown and produced foods, and beers.
In the lead up to the day itself, younger festival-goers are encouraged to make Scarecrows which appear around the village and in the High Street shop windows.
Previous events and activities have included puppet shows, drumming, tombola, raffles, lucky dip, cycle routes, apple-bobbing, coconut shy, face painting, fun fair, apple-pressing, sand art, bug hotels, and archery.
