Harpenden chamber choir The Lea Singers are delighted to be able to confirm a new date for the Covid-cancelled concert from November 2021.
We open with Parry’s joyful anthem I was glad, a short Nocturne written during lockdown by singer-composer Kim Porter and the monumental Brahms Requiem. The version you will hear this evening was arranged by Brahms himself for four hands at one piano and used for the British premiere of the work in London on 10 July 1871. Choral music at its most moving.
