Born in Southampton to a jazz-loving father, Leon studied piano at Leeds College of Music and The Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London. Inspired by the likes of Bud Powell, Wynton Kelly and Bobby Timmons, Leon has been a popular performer at BJazz with his hard swinging style. Tonight his Trio features the brilliant young double bassist Adam King and a familiar face to BJazz – the UK’s premier jazz drummer Steve Brown.
