Archaeology Weekend Verulamium Museum, The
Roman Theatre of Verulamium, Bluehouse Hill, St

With guided
tours of the Roman site of Verulamium and the
opportunity to visit the re-excavation of a Roman
mosaic in the park, last seen in the 1930s.

The ruins one can see today were unearthed in
1847. Subsequent excavations have revealed a row
of shop foundations, a Roman Villa and a secret
shrine, all thought to date from the First Century.
On these days you can watch a living history performance
by Roman Soldiers.
