Amazing Moths of College Lake

Join us to see some of the amazing variety of moths found here at College Lake. Beginners, families and those already interested in moths are all welcome to come and see what was caught overnight as we empty our moth traps. We will open traps from 10:00am, so you you can drop in at any point and watch a trap being emptied. Experts from the Bucks Invertebrate Group and Butterfly Conservation will be on hand to assist with the identification of moths and to tell you a bit more about moth trapping.

The Alban Pilgrimage
The procession starts at 11am. The route begins from St Peter's Church, St Albans, and moves along St Peter's Street to the Town Hall and then continues down Chequer Street, High Street and George Street to the West End of the Cathedral.

The Alban Pilgrimage takes place annually and is held in honour of the city’s namesake, St Alban, who died on 22nd June over 1700 years ago. 
Join the crowds in St Albans as the city comes together to celebrate Britain’s first saint, Alban.Enjoy a wonderful spectacle as giant 12ft tall carnival puppets tell the story of the remarkable man who gave the city its name. Roman chariots, centurions, lions and roses all take their place in the dramatic procession from St Peter’s Church, through the historic streets to St Albans.
